There's only so much you should expect out of drivers from car speakers. On the plus side though they're designed to work in a "box" which is far from ideal: the door panels or unibody of a car. So I'd think any "box" you want to build for them would be just fine. Build something which looks right, stuff it with something sound absorbing (poly fill, fiberglass, whatever) and see how it sounds. It'll probably sound fine, and will give you a cheap set of speakers to enjoy.Note to other forum members: not everyone can afford fancy stuff. Some of us mortals have to make do with cheap junkyard type finds...
