Re: Anybody set up to do decent quality single-sided circuit boards?



Given that what U want to do only involves "just 34 pads, no traces", for this prototype - for which you want to use a good "board material" - why don'tcha buy some 1/8" teflon sheet?

You mean beside the fact that I want to use FR-2 and not Teflon? :)

Couple of reasons actually. One, rather like silver, I don't care much for Teflon either. Just a bit too... plasticy for my tastes and my general aversion to plastics. Second, while it will be point wired, I still want to solder the part leads to pads so that the circuit board provides a more sound mechanical support of the parts than if I just ran the leads through holes and wired it up that way. Otherwise, I could just go down the street and get some non-clad FR-2.
