You say:

scrub the surface of the aluminum while the epoxy is still wet. Scrub hard enough to remove the thin oxide layer on the surface of the aluminium but not hard enough to display the epoxy...

Sorry, i don't get it, if epoxy is still wet, when you scrub on the aluminium surface, how can you avoid not messing up the epoxy coating??

This thread comes in handy because I am working on my chassis as well, you info would be much appreciated.
