...do you hear an actual difference or an imagined difference? And is the difference positive or negative? What I find interesting is most of the tweaks like the Bybee's, fancy cables, etc. seem to invariable make a very positive improvement to the new user. I can't recall reading of someone who started out whith inexpensive product X, switched to expensive product Y, and remarked that Y sounded like shit, goin' back to X! This isn't to say the more expensive brand isn't an improvement, but if I was a psychologist, I'd probably have a field day with this stuff!
