A dedicated line will do nothing for noise from triac dimmers. Nor will it help him do what he wants to do, ie: dim lights.A variac is a noiseless dimmer for incandescent lamps, it will not fit in a standard wall box however.
Older theaters used motor driven variacs for the house lights.
