Proper speaker set up in your room is infinitely more responsible for sound quality than anything regarding coupling and decoupling. I like stands with speaker spikes so I can do proper set up. They also help mass load the weight to tiny fractions of an inch which is a good thing sonically and from a physics standpoint.I have a great speaker set up protocol. Shoot me your email and I will forward it on.
I warn you now.
Number one. You will swear none of this will help.
You will perform the set up.
And you will swear because no one taught you this in audiophile circles.
