The first thing to do is just start. If you short the current control pin to the negative rail you will have the maximum quiescent current. Try this and see if it sounds better. You can always fine tune the value later (by ear).Bypass caps are essential for high-speed circuits like this. You should have small ones (0.01 to 0.1 uF) right at the device. Depending on your regulators, you may or may not need anything else. I build zero feedback discrete regulators that don't need anything, but most people are using packaged 3-pin regulators that will need at least 10 uF somewhere between the output of the regulator and the power pins of the device.
I think if you have good local bypass caps, an input resistor, and put the thing into high current mode that it should sound pretty darned good. Let me know how it goes.
