First of all, thank you for investigating the benefits that my Bright Star Big Rock isolation platform provides. It is the original sand-filled platform.
Suspended floors can present quite a frustrating issue for many audiophiles. When a person steps on a suspended wood floor the only part of the floor that is going up and down is the spot directly under his/her foot. The floor material under the rack which is connected to the material under the person's foot is actually rocking side to side (not going up and down) which presents many difficulties for turntables with and without internal suspensions.
Pete is quite correct that using supports under the floor joists will be very beneficial. I would also recommend that you decouple the sand base which you have made from the rack. Adding more mass at the bottom of the rack will also help by making the rack somewhat more rigid plus it will make the floor under the rack more rigid.
