I have over a 6 foot crawl space with dirt underneath
the room with my stereo. I have read about floor jacks
and joist stiffeners. I guess I am just being lazy. I just
don't want to have to resort to these types of things.
But you are right, they would definitely help the
footfall issue. I guess I should consider them
