Room acoustics and bass trap question

I'm in the process of revamping my listening room and bass traps are next up on my "tweak-list". I understand that room corners are the "high-pressure" points where bass traps are most effective. My layout is that the speakers are well removed from the corners/sides, on the long wall (19 feet) of the room .

What happens if I place half-room-height large "blocks" of furniture (i.e. bookcase, enclosed LP shelves, etc.) in a corner? Should I place bass traps next to the inside of these objects or would it be better to place the furniture away from the corner so that the bass traps can remain in the room corners? (or both!?) I would still expect to place a bass trap on top of the "box" in the actual room corner up to near the (suspended) ceiling.

Thanks! - Ted
