Re: Help with LM317

Okay, thanks! I was hoping I hadn't wasted my money on those caps - 3 big Elnas, appearently surplus, but still not super-cheap.

Maybe it was the low value resistors I was using. When I get another LM317, I'll use only higher values & make sure it doesn't have a lot of capacitance to drive.

That Jung regulator looks interesting. More complex to make, but I think I'll try it someday when I have a bit more power supply experience under my belt. Prior to this I've been using separate power supplies I bought for my projects and I figured it was time I tried my hand at making one myself. I guess since I'm still alive it hasn't gone that badly. :D
