Tonemaniac - That's funny you mention the thin steel covers on pieces. I had a goldmund 10+ dac in the late 90's and I got great results from using marigo dots on the piece. They made a world o difference. Your earlier suggestion of replacing these parts with brass ones, I find very intriguing. Now I need to find a metal shop that can make them for me. That may take some time but it's doable. Adding the c37 is a great idea as well. Here's something that I find that neglected - what do you do for reducing rf and emi for dacs drives and preamps? I once ran across a liquid coating that you applied to the bottoms of drives and dacs that was killer. But it's no longer avaliable. By the way - Happy New Year!
