A dedicated line is a good thing to have. Mine runs from the main Panel to my audio loft in one uninterrupted run: no additional connections or J-boxes.What many people overlook is that for the quietest and most effective application the common must be islated in the panel. Most modern panels are wired with the common and ground both grounding out to the panel chassis. This creates a direct line to earth for the common and a line back to the pole for the ground. It also creates ground loops in the wiring.
Have a professional isolate (i.e. insulate) the common bus from the panel chassis if you're not well versed with wiring. This will have the common properly completing the electrical circuit and have the ground serving it's proper function. The wiring throughout your property will work better as an additional benefit.
