See bass trap thread below. Yeah, I know - the room IS the most important element but - it ain't always the culprit. Room treatment can be, in some cases, treating symptoms instead of causes. (Sounds like politics)I just tried a couple of tweaks - total cost $80.00. Sandbox under the TT and Herbies Tube dampers on the preamp.
Results are very similar to what I might expect from HUNDREDS in room treatments.
I guess what I am saying is that you don't need to "cure" something that ain't there in the first place.
