Also, he does not say what type of rack he has. This makes a major difference. I have MDF shelves in my rack. When I supported the shelves on spikes instead of resting on flat metal pieces in each corner the sound improved considerably. Unfortunately, either the product did not come or I probably lost the spikes for the other shelves. But I hope to use blu-tack with the Polycyrstal cones I have with them.
BTW, I have the Vibrapod Cones stacked on top of the classic Vibrapods and have these 3 under my DVD player. It does make a good perceptible difference. My next stop is those ball bearing devices. I think the comparisons/choices becomes difficult, if does not have a good idea of a particular thingy works. For eg, I think the Vibrapods cut down the high frequency transmitted through them. The difference they make should be substantial on flimsy rack but not on heavy solid ones. A cheaper alternative is a lightly inflated bicycle inner tube under a MDF shelf or a wood cutting board.
