*LMAO* - it was stupid

I was impatient. That amp was the last component I treated with Musicoat. Because of the excellent results I got from the full treatment of the other components I treated the AMP2 the same way. There is a drying/conditioning/curing time before full sonic benifits are realized. Right after the treatment the amp sounded too warm, the upper 17k+ HF was rolled off and there was a loss of dynamics and detail in those upper frequencies.

I let the amp dry for 2 days and noticed a slight return of dynamics and detail, but not anywhere as suspected or wanted. I was going to entertain that evening and the sound system would be used. So...I un-did the Musicoat treatment. Upon hooking the amp back up I was actually missing the warmth that the Musicoat treatment provided. A week later I treated only half of the amp. Then the other half was treated a week later. Allowing the amp a week to dry made a tremendous difference.

It takes the Musicoat treatment about 2 weeks to fully cure. With the exception of the AMP2, upon first treating a component (the ones I own obviously) the sound is very warm, detail and information is increased, tonal accuracy increased, etc, etc. Without exaggeration, my components sounded like high end tube gear right after treatment, I was very excited/happy with the results. After the curing/drying process the gear sound more like a hybrid. Truly, at least on my gear the Musicoat treatments left me feeling extremely impressed with the product and the gear I have.

So there you have it, being impatient costed me about $115.
