Was going to use 4 spikes just because the rack is going to be so darn heavy with a turtable, two amps, preamp, cd, tape and cdr. Isn't that going to stick pretty good into the wood beneath the carpet? Might try the arrowhead tips idea rather than grinding down some long screws.
