Lou Lou Lou,The LED will not generate significant noise. It's basically a diode. There are lots of diodes and transistors (fancier double-diodes)in a solid state pre-amp and each of these would generate more noise than the LED. Some times audio engineers (real engineers) use LEDs in place of normal diodes beacuse many LEDs actually have a lower noise floor.
Non-technical people offering technical advice may say otherwise but this is generally based on rumour not documented analysis.
