unless I misunderstand, the problem is with the machinist. He is the one who wont make them.simple solution; find different guy to make them.
I doubt it would make a good case anyway since roller balls have been widely used in this 'hobby', long before he [whoever he is] got his little pattent.
the machinist obviousy doesn't understand + probably doesn't care..
he's just covering his astroturf.
