I know, as I've talked to a wide variety of copper suppliers. At least when used in phono cartridges, there is quite a variance in sound, even among 6N, 7N or 8N copper depending on who makes it and how it is made. I went with the manufacturer that subjectively gave me the sound that I was looking for.Incidentally, we were probably one of the first companies to start using Ohno Continuous Cast wire. The last time that I used it in a product was probably around 1987 or 88.
