Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Hello all.I'm in the middle of experimenting with tweeter to mid time aligning, and was wanting some input from others.
at the moment i have sunk the tweeter into the baffle (which is flat) using a router. its about 35mm in. i've got a piece of felt to help with the edge diffraction. now it sounds a lot better to me, but is the edge diffraction going to outweigh the gains?
i tried a sloped baffle, but the off axis response dip is terrible, and since i do quite a bit of listening off axis, its not an option.
is time delay via an active curcuit an option? (its a passive xo between mid and tweeter)
any input is greatly appreciated.
