I'm glad you asked. Unlike the degaussing tweak, or even the anti-static tweak, this tweak is permananent. Freezing CDs (or records) in the freezer overnight results in a permanent improvement.
It would appear that cryogenically treating the CD using much lower temps (-300 degrees) results in better performance that is also permanent. Sometimes, a person may experience his sound seems to be worse than it was the day or week before - he may suspect that the effects of the freezing are "wearing off." This is an incorrect assumption. It is always something else that has caused the sound to deteriorate and appear to revert back to a "former state." There are many reasons for this deterioration in sound, perhaps it is only natural in environments undergoing continual change - e.g., some peoples' hi-fi listening rooms.
