I too reckon this works, and I have done an a-b test.
I took a CD and copied it. Compared the two using a rather good sytem a friend of mine has.
We both listened and heard a slight diference in bass depth and a coarsening (best description we could come up with ) of the overall sound.
18 hours in the freezer, 6 in the fridge, and after wiping off the condensation and whatever, we tried then again.
My friend is a bit of a disbeliever about most tweaks and was eating dinner while I set it up.
We played the (unfrozen) copy first, and when I put the original (frozen) on, he actually dropped a forkful of food....
The result was quite surprisingly clear.
Better dynamics, deeper bass, just a bigger, better sound.
I have tried this with some CDs and got no improvement, but in my experience, it works at least 50% of the time.
