Where have you been?
Did you peek in on the series vs. parallel discussion at MADISOUND?
True I have almost no experience with series, but I prefaced my comments with "my opinion". The "go with the crowd",and "the more esoteric the better" mentality here pushes everyone into thinking that somehow series crossovers must always be better. The reality is that no crossover would be the best! But since a crossover becomes a necessity, the majority of professional designers opt for a parallel configuration. Series crossovers demand many constraints. Parallels have greater flexibility for the designer.
Get yourself back over to MADISOUND where they/we can discuss this better in the company of more experienced loudspeaker builders.
