Re: What Does Ferrite Do Anyway!??!?!?!

209.240.200.81

Let me ask you how many different types of ferrites are out there. Now after looking this up do you think you can tell us everything a ferrite is made out of and all the impedances and frequency ranges that they cover. Then explain what happens to the power line if one ferrite is added to the beginning of a power cord and the other at the end vs. a single ferrite added to a power cord and that is at both the wall and the component. Then would you please discuss magnetic on a power line and how one can alter the ring mode of a power cord using a simple kitchen magnet or ferrite. And then could you explain the ripple effect of the dampened harmonics on that power cord you just tuned via kitchen magnet. I think one should know everything a magnet could offer besides just a simple high frequency choke. Don't you???

And as a last note in the late 60's and early 70's computer mainframes were filtered via the use of ferrites. Now they use these large rooms of batteries but before the batteries were added they used ferrite. Do you know how they correct the power using the ferrite technique? I'll give you a hint my ferrite filter design is not far off. Something about a dual choke...
