...for the very informative post. I'm going to see what I can wring out of this player, if only to satisfy my curiousity. From what I can see of the digital board, it's using lots surface mount caps and stuff, of which messing with is beyond my minimal experience. But both the PS and analog boards are pretty accessible, so I'll see what I can do there. Thanks again.
