RE: How do passive dr⁵ivers work

Even a 6 inch driver has significant directivity up high and so,, being off axis, you hear less of the on axis sound and a larger percent of the omni radiation spectrum.
For example, if the radiator were 5.5 inch's in diameter and following piston motion, at around 2400Hz, the pattern would be about 90 degrees wide and an octave above, about half that angle etc.
