How do passive dr⁵ivers work

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I placed a 6 inch full range driver at 45 degrees on the side of my Tivoli. Strange as it may seem I have got a little more fullness to male voice and also to drums. I don't think this can be explained scientifically but some lucky clash of the lower frequencies I guess. I am very careful not to move anything. Sounds rather strangely welcome though.
