i don't listen with an oscilloscope, and because it can't be measured doesn't mean it can't be heard. same with wires, same with speakers, same with capacitors, same with resistors. it's old hat. no point in arguing it.regardless what you believe, talk to any engineer who deals with materials over measurement. i build houses. there is MOST ASSUREDLY settling in time of ANY material while it takes on it's static state. look at any window or door in your house. look at your foundation, and he cracks therein. the spider of a speaker is dynamic, as is the voice coil. as it 'breaks in', it takes on different properties.. just as flexing a spring will eventually loosen it's tension. press on a new drumhead a while. eventually, it loosens. then IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT. same process. it's still a drumhead, and in fact the SAME drumhead. 2 different sounds. guitar strings need replacement. same principle.
people are not necessarily stupid because they hear 'unmeasurable differences', nor gullible, nor imagining things. a lot of times it is pure unadulterated scientific blindspot arrogance which 'proves' that these differences don't exist, when physicists can easily make a good argument to the contrary. seriously- look at analogues outside the electrical realm!
