A bit of yakking about the Triffids.

Born...Sandy ...Devotional...an amazing album, I have spent the last few months listening to it about 3-4 times a week. I am still stunned.
There are quibbles, the sound is not right. Different instruments and voices are out of phase. It sounds a tad brassy (tinny?)...but that is not important ....
What is is the fact that this is pop paradise. Such song craft, so rare, so exquisite.
Im my little world there are two absolute pop masterpieces...Brian Wilson wrote them both...Caroline, No and God Only Knows...No finer pop exists.
The Triffids song...Estuary Bed joins the other 2 at the top of my heap. Better as part of the whole album (minus song 3 which sucks), on it's own it is just as immense.
