I played in a band called Mondo Green, which itself is a mondegreen for...uh, well, for mondegreen, duh.When Cat Steven's "Peace Train" was first a hit (1972?) I thought the lyric "Peace train sounding louder" was actually "Eight strange sounds too loud" ...which twenty-five years later I used as the title for one of my serious compositions.
There are a ton of Rolling Stones songs where I'd swear the lyrics are "flats-o fahz a gunna tak OW! Biz ma tooty ra founnnnn..d" or something equally nonsensical.
