Hey Mark,I'm 42 and have been intently and intensley listening to the Beatles since 6 years old. I do want a different remix.
I want vocals and drums to be where they need to be. The old fake stereo mixes are awful in most cases, and because of that, you cannot under any circumstances consider any part of the early catalog to be of audiophile quality, so-called.
Imagine a remixed and remastered "Hard Day' Night", done with taste, done right, done with the spirit of correcting the audio quality while doing the song justice. It can be done, as was proved with Yellow Submarine.
I can't wait until the new CD comes out. "A Day In The Life" is going to be awesome. The horns just before Lennon's final stanza concerning the holes in Blackburn, Lancashire......man! I always thought they deserved a more sweeping power then you can get even on the MFSL version.
A friend keeps insisting I buy the UHQR of Pepper, but I've seen the prices and I'm not going there. I love the Beatles, but no thanks.
