The catalog needs a remastering. But to me the act of remixing is desecration.When classic stuff is remixed--say, the way Frank Zappa "improved" his earlier records--all I can hear is how it is different, and that's a distraction rather than a benefit. ("Why can't I hear that horn part anymore? Where did that tambourine come from?") When you take songs you grew up with and mess with them . . . include me out.
I'm with you on "Mr. Moonlight," though. ;-)
