Here's four that moved me:
.Brace Yourself - A tribute to Otis Blackwell w/Chrissie Hynde, Chris Spedding,Frank Black,Tom Verlaine,Jon Spencer,Willie DeVille & more.
.What the World Needs Now - Big Deal recording artists perform songs of Burt Bacharach by Shonen Knife, Hanna Cranna and a bunch of other semi-unknown alt artists.
.panthalassa-the remixes of Miles Davis by various djs, highlight being "On the Corner" (subterranean channel mix)remix by Bill Laswell.
.And the Bill Keane production: Shots in the Dark, is pretty cool alt-rock covers of Henry Mancini tunes. The Cramps doing "Peter Gun", Four Piece Suit doing "Something for Cat" and Davie Allan & The Arrows cover of "Experiment in Terror" are high points.
