or at the local pizza place who sit around and trade licks and take turns passing the tunes around. The Irish bar has Irish music and and the Pizza place has bluegrass. The players are bricklayers, carpenters, accountants, cops, retirees, teachers, silicon valley execs, just plain folks. They are there for the tunes and the laughs, fame never enters their mind, a shared pizza, a pint of beer, all the rewards that matter.
This also applies to those festivals where folks wander the campgrounds and parking lots and a ever changing jam occurs for 3 or 4 days straight.
