As a child of the late-70s and early-80s, I'd occasionally meet friends, here at Alta Plaza Park. We'd talk about bands like Kansas, The Police, Van Halen, and Yes.

In 2020, when COVID caused the shutdowns, Kansas worked on and came out with their last album, The Absence Of Presence. It includes the reflective power ballad, "Memories Down The Line."

In late 2020, I met a couple friends at Alta Plaza, and only having a few people in masks was eerie. "Memories Down The Line" seemed to tie up loose ends, and whatever lay ahead, we were okay with.
