He used His intellect to advance theories of peace...don't understand why anybody would think that is an asterisk in his life. Strategic thinking and strategic planning are two different things...the strategic planners take facts and intended outcomes and execute actions based upon the task at hand. Strategic plannners lay it out so you can play it out...and Cordesman was masterful in that art. His many books highlight that aspect as well.
I interpreted his audio reviews as also being highly intellectual. I got the sense that he was at a different level compared to other reviewers. I understood him. Maybe some people did not. Yeah, that's it. Great guy with a lasting legacy.
