Ballance is the key....

While I must admit to having shelled out quite a bit of dosh myself, the level of satisfaction I receive from my system, I cant put a price on. I also like your position of relative costs in terms of needs in your kitchen while walking the line and conceding $ goods to your significant other-- tricky play and proper balance, should put you in line for another piece of kit soon.

While we as audiophiles get the itch to upgrade often its been my feelings to audition as much as possible and get the pieces you really desire, spend big first, accept it, and move on, thereby eliminating the urge to upgrade where I feel spending money can be wasteful, kind of like a dog chasing its tail, never-ending pursuit.

One of my best CD players Ive ever owned is actually a DAC called the Kora Hermes 24/192 that I picked up for under 2,000 dollars, one of the best pieces Ive ever heard in any setup and Ive heard a good many. Simply said there are pieces out there that offer considerable value when balanced against other very good products today at considerably more. Lets take my Plinius products, I HAD to have this stuff, paid the price and I'm content, same with other parts of my system, costly but for the most part I'm very satisfied and pretty much done. [knock on wood] But in terms of everyday life and our loved ones we must keep the balance and not neglect others needs as well as they're wants.

Separating our needs from our wants is easier said than done but with a proper balance and careful implementation we should all be able to fit in a new kitchen from time to time. Ive questioned my sanity on occasion!!!
