I am very happy with the mod.1. The resolution up an order of magnitude. My CD collection sound better than ever. There is no brightness at all.
2. Full body sound.
3. Bass digs to the deepest note. E.g. the organ from Cantate Domino.
4. I didn't use any fancy expensive cable. Just Belden 1694A with Canare true 75ohm connectors.
I have an impulse to buy another Cambridge CXC V2. However $499 (open box) is a lot of money for me. I am going to tweak the mod for Tascam CD-200 and hopefully I can get a similar sound (very unlikely).
