Now and then, my Rotel RCD-1072 fails to read a disc in good condition. By good condition, I mean there are no gouges, fingerprints, or other impairments. Often, if I eject the same disc and reload, the player will accept the disc.
I'm a nonsmoker and the only one that uses the CDP.
Is this likely to be a problem with a lens that needs cleaning, a software fault, or is the laser going out?
The player is still under warranty so factory authorized service should be free. Anyone have a suggestion or answer?
