John, I cant answer that but Im curious to know more about this swap..From what Iv'e heard CDM-9pro is essentially unavailable. Are you saying that a CDM 9/44 is interchangeable? I have been reluctant to spring for an older transport because of unvailable lasers for same. So, I dont have what would be my first separates in the digital realm. I have read good things albeit from commercial sources primarily about the P.S. Audio Lambda transport. It uses the 9. At any rate,, I would like to know more about your swap.. Skip
