Hi,I hate to say this, but I'd make sure you spend some time with this player and/or buy from a reputable dealer. I bought my original 99 three years ago and had it upgraded to Mk 2 status in February. Six months later and my player still does not work. It will not recognize discs when switched on from the back and skips wildly, despite four visits to Quad Service and the replacement of various parts plus upgraded decoder software. It's possible I had a bad batch of parts and/or that the problem lies only with upgraded CDPs. But I would be VERY careful with these players. They are wonderful-sounding and uniquely able, sadly. YMMV...
