Woooow.....
I think that you are a patient person. The old diminishing returns syndrom.I have a McIntosh system as well.C2200 tube pre, MC402 power amp to PMC IB1's.I am trying to figure out a great source and am heading in two directions.
1)A music server with all my cd's,then to a dac.(maybe the MDA1000,very expensive)
2)A stand alone cd player.I will probablly get the MCD201.(exceptional sounding)
I am useing a Anthem Statement pre/processor that up and oversamples at the moment for my dac.The only thing that has really beat it is the MCD201.I wish I could have the Mcd201 modded to have a digital input,so it could be used as a dac.
Anyway,I think the music server might be a direction to go.
