Ayre CX7 upgrade question...

I have heard some positive posts about upgrading the older CX7 and was wondering... is it a full Evolution upgrade. I know that the power side of things gets a tinkering with 'dynamic power' or such like but does the DAC filter chip get upgraded as well. I have read that the newer player has a better filter arrangement. Perhaps that was implimented before the Evolution power upgrades...?

One final ask for the terminally paranoid audio mind. Does anybody know what the XLR socket contacts are plated in. I just like the idea of not having so many different metals in the signal path... so would like to match the pins to the contact if possible.
