Well, I did order the Accuphase power cord, but seems to be taking a while getting here. Let me see how it compares to the Monosaudio P902 power cord, which failed to make the grade for my main system. It was a very midrange-forward sound in that "copper" way, exactly where my compression driver/horns are vivid, not a good match.

I can't think of cost-effective AC plugs for the cheap Accuphase cord that will result in "better top end extension | better layering of detail." Rather, you might want to tweak the sound by changing the AC wall plug.
