The original Vector 1 balanced IC was meh

In early 2011, I was sent some balanced Tara Labs Vector 1 line-level interconnects. We stuck them for 4 days on an audiodharma Cable Cooker. They were physically stiff, and sounded stiff, too.

Since these did not belong to me, I had to return the now-Cooked ICs to their owner. He's also sent me other Tara Labs products to Cook. When it came to the Vector 1, though, he thought they'd be what'd you'd expect for their affordable price. He was of the opinion that, if you liked Tara Labs overall, you could start with the Vector series, wait, build up the budget, and then get their ISM products.

Since the original Vector wasn't all that great, the affordable knock-offs don't have that high a bar to clear. So maybe the knock-offs aren't that bad.
