Only if you physically need that length to reach between components. Aside from that, I've never heard a plus or minus either way. My 0.7 M Oyaide 510 sounds superb. FWIW, I do have a 1.5 M Verastarr in a second system, but only because I need that length to reach between transport and DAC.
