Some of the B&O TTs have a switch that is activated by the pivoting of the tone arm - once the arm moves past the edge of a 12" LP- the motor will turn on...
The Pin-out for the DIN connector is pretty straight forward - see linky below-

Thank you. This one is linear tracking under total control of microprocessor which I think is buried under pushbutton panel. Looking at bizarre schematic, I think any push of any button tells the uProc IC to send command to multiple trigger transistors to turn on and make stuff happen. There is no movement of tonearm possible by direct hands on. I did join beoworld.org and posted query so far no answers.
