SACD1000 will not work at all because it does not have a straight PCM out, just DD or DTS.

963SA would make it OK, and you can also use the upsampling features. Unfortunately, you will have to consider one of the many available modifications for this unit as the power supply upgrade is the least necessary.

If you're looking at red book only, the older Sony CDP-X707ES, CDP-X779ES should be taken under strong consideration as well. The "M" after my name is bad sign..:-), but I've always preferred to be honest, so clock and power supply upgrades are essential to these as well. After all, there are so many "M"s who can do the job.
