Just throwing out an idea; we're ramping up our second Midwest Audiofest (MAF2003)April 11-13 in Lima, Ohio....yeah, yeah, I KNOW.............and anyway, if there are any groups of "friends" in the Asylum wanting a gathering place, this could be a good opportunity for an event within an event. Accomodations are pretty cheap and nice, lotsa fun folks from various forums there. See the (now being updated) website for more info. You're welcome to hijack the event for your own sordid purposes, if you desire.

I'm thinking of setting up a room dedicated to bad music (audiophile and otherwise). I'd bring a mediocre system (Adcom/Vandersteens; please don't make me bring the Walker turntable) and play stuff like the Portsmouth Simfonia, Legendary Stardust Cowboy, John Barstow, Joe Mankiewicz and Blu, etc. By contrast, it should serve to enhance the perceived quality of everyone else's music and sound. Bring your worst music. I'll play anything: no performance is too awful. Earplugs and barf bags optional.
I LOVE it! BTW, think you'll make it this year? Should be some pretty cool stuff, lots of things in the works gear and seminar-wise that I haven't posted as we're still working it out....

I may even have a free raffle for my Bruce Willis record collection (The drawing bin is probably going to be pretty empty, so your chances of winning are quite good. And you won't have to be present at the drawing to win. I'll hunt you down and find you. Even if your last name is Bin Laden.).
Celine Dion? I just traded everything for all of her records...I'm so damn proud!
...and I'll raise you one Mrs. Miller, a Fiona Anderson, Debbie Boone, Don Johnson, and William Shatner--a straight flush (down the toilet).
